The Nuvoco Duraguard Cement Premier League features an exciting 100-ball format—a faster, more dynamic version of cricket designed to deliver maximum entertainment and non-stop action.

KEY RULES OF 100-BALL CRICKET

match-structure-icon MATCH STRUCTURE:
  • Each team faces 100 balls in their innings
  • A set of 5 consecutive balls is bowled by the same bowler
  • After 10 balls, the bowler switches (similar to an over, but with 10 balls instead of 6)
  • Maximum of 20 balls can be bowled by any single bowler per innings

  • 11 players per team
  • Minimum of 5 bowlers required
  • Wicketkeeper mandatory

bowling-rule-icon Bowling Restrictions:
  • Each bowler can bowl a maximum of 20 balls
  • No bowler can bowl two consecutive sets of 5 balls
  • At least 25 balls must be bowled by spin bowlers (where available)

fielding-restriction-icon Fielding Restrictions (Powerplay):
  • First 25 balls: Maximum of 2 fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle
  • Balls 26-100: Maximum of 5 fielders allowed outside the 30-yard circle

scoring-icon Scoring:
  • Runs scored: Standard cricket scoring
  • Extras: Wides, no-balls, byes, and leg-byes add to team total
  • No-ball: Batsman cannot be dismissed (except run-out), and a free hit follows
  • Wide: Counts as one run plus any additional runs taken

  • All standard cricket dismissals apply: bowled, caught, LBW, run out, stumped, hit wicket
  • Retired hurt: Player can return if fit

time-out-icon Strategic Timeout:
  • Each team gets one 2-minute strategic timeout per innings
  • Can be taken any time after the first 25 balls

  • The team with the highest score after both innings wins. In case of a tie, a Super Over (6 balls per team) determines the winner.
